- Sunday Scripture Readings
- Reflection on the Scriptures has become
more and more a part of basic Christian spirituality. At times
we would like to return to the Sunday Scriptures at home, but
we do not have the missalette with us. At other times we may
be interested in seeing just what came before or immediately
after the reading for the day to gain more insights.
To encourage this encounter with
the Scriptures, we will be including in the bulletin the scripture
reading references for the current Sunday and the following Sunday.
In addition, in our on-line bulletin we will have the actual
links to the readings.

- QUESTIONS OF THE
WEEK
THE SEVENTH SUNDAY IN
ORDINARY TIME
As
startling as Jesus' words were for the disciples in today's Gospel,
they discover that it is possible to live with such radical love,
even for enemies and sinners. They learn this because Jesus not
only taught them this way of life in words, but they witnessed
him treating others with that same radical love. Even on the
cross he was able to cry out, "Father, forgive them."
-
- Adults: What makes it hard for me to show
God's mercy to others?
-
- Children: How does it feel when someone forgives
me?

JUSTICE MINISTRY QUOTES
Jesus took the command to love our neighbor
as we love ourselves, and pushed the definition of who is our
neighbor, out, out, and still further out, until it reached to
the ends of the earth and included all of humanity -- all of
Gods children. -- Alvin Alexi Currier ST.
