- Sunday Scripture Readings
- Reflection on the Scriptures has become
more and more a part of basic Christian spirituality. At times
we would like to return to the Sunday Scriptures at home, but
we do not have the missalette with us. At other times we may
be interested in seeing just what came before or immediately
after the reading for the day to gain more insights.
To encourage this encounter with
the Scriptures, we will be including in the bulletin the scripture
reading references for the current Sunday and the following Sunday.
In addition, in our on-line bulletin we will have the actual
links to the readings.

BITS AND BYTES
Celebrating together
When we come together to do liturgy, we cease
being an I and become a we, the Body
of Christ united through Baptism, and joined together to give
thanks and praise to God in Christs name. Americans are
a particularly individualistic people, but our theology calls
us to be counter-cultural, to be responsible to and for one another,
to pray and sing together, not as individuals, but as a community.

LIFE
Adult stem cells have successfully treated
more than 70 diseases and injuries, states Dr. D. Losardo at
the Tufts University of Medicine. He believes that embryonic
stem cells are going to fade in the rear view mirror of adult
stem cells. Placental tissue from babies already born and
umbilical cord blood are other morally acceptable sources of
medically useful stem cells. Pro-Life Reporter, (Pennsylvanians for Human Life, Scranton Chapter),
